I’ve had many experiences where changing my environment allowed all the effort I had put in before to finally pay off. So rather than simply telling people how great Substack is, what I really wanted to share was the importance of finding the right environment for yourself.
That distinction makes a lot of sense. Sometimes the effort was not wasted at all, it was simply waiting for an environment where it could finally connect, grow, or be recognized. Finding the right place can change the meaning of all the work that came before.
